Kristen & Jason were married on August 27, 2016 at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club in San Diego, California. They are expecting a little girl in July!

THE PROPOSAL

Jason was scheduled to leave town on December 24, so he and Kristin decided to have Christmas together the day before. Earlier that morning, Jason came back from the store with roses and a chai latte, two of Kristen’s favorite things. She didn’t think anything of it, because, yes, he is that romantic all the time!

They opened presents later that day by the fire, and after, Kristin got up to give Jason a hug to thank him for all the gifts. He then reached around the Christmas tree, and said, "I think I have one more present for you.” Jason opened the box and got down on one knee, and the rest is history! A surprise engagement party ensued with the help of her parents and twin sister.

THE DETAILS

Kristin describes her overall theme as rustic, whimsical, and ethereal. They wanted a classy affair, but also wanted their guests feel relaxed and comfortable. They paired Silver Dupioni Shantung, Linens and La Crème Napkins, courtesy of Concepts Event Design, with a mix of lanterns, candles and gorgeous, lush centerpieces.

On the back patio, the couple had a stunning lounge set up provided by To Be Designed, and more beautiful florals created by Amy at Evermore Floral Co. The ceremony site was complete with vintage doors, which symbolized the doors to their future. The lovely cake made by Sweet Cheeks Baking Company was later smashed into Jason’s face, and the party was closed out with a sparkler send off!

“My father and I, arm-in-arm, pushed through the doors of the Club, and started the walk down the aisle. All I could see in the distance was Jason's huge smile. In that moment, my nerves went away. It was the happiest moment of my life.”
