Holiday Party Planning

Chris May

Organizing a holiday party can be overwhelming, but there are some key ways to reduce that stress.

Here are 4 questions you need to ask when planning a festive holiday celebration:

  1. How many people do I want to invite? Whether you’re planning a small dinner party or a large corporate event, both private and public clubs have space to suit most any need.
  2. When do I want to have my event?  Having an approximate time during the holidays for when you’d like to host your event is a good start, particularly because it’s important to book your event early enough to secure your preferred date.
  3. What kind of theme, decorations and catering choices do I want? Event packages can include decorations if you’d like, even beyond the standard upgrades such as linens, chiavari chairs, and a dance floor, for example. Work with your personal decorator. Possibilities can include motifs such as Ugly Sweater Christmas, Masquerade Ball, Christmas Song Lip-Sync Battle, Santa’s Workshop, The Chocolate Factory, Christmas Around the World or 12 Courses of Christmas to name a few.
  4. How would I like my event planner to help? Event planners will be there for you from start to finish, and they have the tools and relationships already in place to pull off any event seamlessly. Whether you have a vision in place that just needs to be executed, or you would like more hands-on guidance in selecting a theme, décor and catering options, you will be able to find what you’re looking for as long as you give yourself enough time to plan, and find the perfect planner for your needs!
