5 Ways to Make Your Bridesmaids a Part of Your Big Day

Choosing which ladies will stand by your side as you say, “I do” is an exciting decision for a bride. Your bridesmaids will play a huge role on your big day and the days leading up to it. There are a lot of plans to be made, and you’ll be asking your closest girls to spend time (and money) for your wedding celebrations. Let them know how special they are and how grateful you are for them. You can do this by making sure they feel included in the wedding and planning process. Here are five ways to make your bridesmaids a part of your big day:

1. “Propose” in a Special Way
Try to avoid asking your bridesmaids through text message or email. Pop the question in a sentimental way they will remember forever. Think of hosting an intimate bridesmaids lunch or dinner, or sending a surprise personalized card addressed to each of them if they do not live close to you.

2. Keep them in the Loop
Don’t keep your bridesmaids in the dark when it comes to planning. Share your ideas with them, and let them know you appreciate their input. Allow your bridesmaids to be aware of what decisions you have made. This will make them feel extra special, which is more important than an element of surprise.

3. Consider their Input on the Dresses
Every girl has worn that one bridesmaid dress they absolutely hate. Don’t be that bride! Choose a dress that you like, but consider the preferences and opinions of your girls. It’s also essential to consider the different body types in your bridal party. You want to ensure that your bridesmaids feel fabulous in their dresses. They will appreciate this more than you know!

4. Mention Your Girls in Your Toast
Whether you want to recognize them on your bridal shower or on the wedding day, make sure you give a special toast for the special girls in your life. This is a great way to include them and let your bridal party know how much you appreciate their presence.

5. Host Pre-Wedding Celebrations
Create opportunities for your bridesmaids to get to know one another and spend quality time before the big day. A simple lunch or a girl’s night out will go a long way. This will allow them to build a bond that will make the wedding day that much more special for everyone!
