10 Ways to Add Unique Personal Touches to Your Wedding Day

Kathryn Draney

1. Specialty Cocktails – Do you and your fiancé have a go-to drink when you go out? Do you remember what you drank on your first date? Offer these beverages to guests with cute and catchy names!

2. Table Names – Rather than using standard numbers, name your tables after cities you have traveled to together, or building names from the college campus where you first met.

3. Dessert Bar – Not a cake lover? Forgo the traditional wedding cake and set up a dessert bar for your guests to pick and choose their favorites! Some dessert favorites include s’mores, donuts, and candy.

4. Pets – A wedding is a time to be surrounded by all of your loved ones. If you have a furry best friend, let Fido help out by being the ring bearer, or even have your pup walk down the aisle as a part of the wedding party.

5. Cocktail Napkins – Throw a cute slogan and your wedding hashtag on your cocktail napkins for a personal touch!

6. Monograms – Decorate your menu, napkins, and table sign with your brand new monogram.

7. Late Night Snacks – If you love French fries and sliders but you don’t want them as your main entrée, serve them later in the evening! After your guests have been up dancing and drinking, they will love some late night carbs.

8. Guest Book – Add a photo booth component to your guest book for an added pop of fun! You can look back on the photographs of your happy guests for years to come.

9. Special Ice Cubes – During the cocktail hour, use ice cubes engraved with you and your fiancés initials!

10. Slideshow or Engagement Video – If your venue has TVs available for use, use them! Show your guests your engagement video or a slideshow of you and your partner throughout the years.
