  • Tawnya Wright
    Private Event Coordinator
In 1995, I moved from the Bay Area to Long Beach, CA to pursue a degree in fashion design. After graduating from Brooks College in 1997, I fell into the Halloween industry where I worked for over 20 years. During this time, I had many opportunities to create event design assets for family and friend’s functions. In 2017, I had the pleasure of working with Juliann at Rec Park while planning my daughter’s Sweet 16, which is when I really started getting the itch to change careers. After about two years, that dream is coming true! I have always had a nice balance between creative and technical abilities, so working as a Private Event Coordinator is right up my alley!

Event Spaces & Ceremony Sites

One of our most popular event spaces on the property, the Banquet Room features vaulted ceilings, rose gardens, private patios, eight sets of double French doors, and several scenic paths. The room, which can accommodate roughly 180 guests, also boasts several unique design touches, including an opulently designed foyer, scalloped adornments, wonderful china, and a spotless dance floor.
Interested in booking a more intimate event space? Then make sure to check out our Garden Gazebo. The Garden is nestled among 10-foot rose trees and quaint white picket fences. It features a single 75-foot aisle perfect for an elegant entrance for the bridal party—night lighting and enough outdoor seating space to accommodate roughly 200 guests.
Built in the traditional Spanish-style popular over a century ago, the two-story Clubhouse is a perfect event space for receptions and other events. It features a traditional banquet room, a bridal suite, and a full-service restaurant that serves an extensive menu of traditional American-style cuisine.
