Real Wedding - Belinda & Keith

Kathryn Draney

When/Where did the bride & groom meet?

Keith and I met working at Marie Callendars, 9 years ago.

Tell us about the engagement day/proposal!

Keith recreated our first date, which was at a photo booth arcade and invited our immediate family members to witness the proposal. After the proposal he took me dinner at Marie Callendars to commemorate where we first met, only to find that he had arranged a surprise engagement party with all our family and friends.

What was the deciding factor to have your wedding at SeaCliff?

I attended a bridal expo before coming to the SeaCliff and found that the representatives were very helpful and friendly.  I was invited to visit the venue and thought we would check it out, thinking it might be completely out of our price range. We immediately loved the venue as we walked in!  The ceremony site was beautiful and thought the different room options were lovely.  At the time, the venue was offering a Flash sale, which allowed us to have everything we wanted for a more affordable price.

What are some the challenges that you faced planning your wedding?

We struggled with not having enough time to plan for the wedding like we wanted. We both work long hours and had little time for all the details of the wedding. One of the main reasons why we chose SeaCliff as our venue was because it included much of the major items like food, cake, tables, linens, etc. It was a huge help to not have to hire vendors for each aspect of the wedding.

What were the highlights of the ceremony?

The deck where the ceremony was held was absolutely beautiful, as it overlooks the golf course.  The view and ambiance of the ceremony area was everything I wanted when envisioning my dream wedding. We chose the Cinderella arch, which was very elegant and was easy to decorate with draping and flowers. We also loved the option of doing first looks by the floral archway on the side of the venue.

What were the highlights of the reception?

The dinner was excellent! We chose filet mignon and chicken, both of which were delicious. We loved that our reception area was sectioned off into separate areas, allowing our guests the option of sitting down in the main dining area, being in the bar area with the DJ, or relaxing outside along the deck. We also loved the option of having a late night snack toward the end of the night. Keith and I chose tacos, which was a total hit! We had many memorable moments throughout the reception and had so much fun celebrating our love with our family and friends.

What was your favorite part of the entire day overall?

Our favorite part of the day was saying our “I do’s” and finally becoming husband and wife. The theme for our wedding was Cinderella, and I absolutely loved that my dream of having a fairytale wedding was executed so beautifully at our venue. It meant the world to us to celebrate the start of our happily ever after in such a beautiful place.
